Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Benhaddou -Ouarzazate – Skoura – Todra Gorges
Morning departure from your hotel in Marrakech to Ouarzazate. You cross the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka pass located at 2260m altitude. You stop at the Kasbah Ait ben Haddou where you visit the old village, Kssar (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Then, you continue to the palm of Skoura passing by the Kasbah Amridil: a wonderful place offering a magical view of the snow-covered Atlas Mountains and the Wadi, where you will explore beautiful architecture with a local guide who will explain the traditional way of life in the kasbahs. You will continue your journey to the Todra Gorge passing through the Valley of Roses, the Dades Valley and the village of Kalaa Mgouna. Arrival at the Todra Gorge, dinner and first night at the hotel.
Day 2: Todra Gorges – Tinejdad – Erfoud – Merzouga
After breakfast, a short walk in the palm grove of the Todra valley. Passing through Tinejdad you arrive at the town of Erfoud, the starting point to discover the desert, towards Merzouga, Tazzarine or the Ziz valley. Through its “Borj”, a fortified tower, the city offers a fascinating panoramic view of the desert, the valley and the palm grove. You also visit the Marbles of Fossils in Erfoud. Afterwards, you continue to the impressive dunes of Erg chebbi in Merzouga. On arrival, you exchange the vehicle with the camels for a nice ride through the sand dunes. In the evening, you watch the sublime sunset before joining the bivouac to spend your second night in the middle of the Sahara, while enjoying the silence of the desert and a friendly atmosphere around the campfire after a traditional dinner.
Day 3 : Merzouga – Erfoud – Errachidia – Azrou – Ifran – Fez
Wake up in the morning to watch the sunrise over the dunes and return by camel to the hotel for breakfast. Your trip departs for Fez via several cities: Erfoud, Errachidia, Midelt, Azrou and Ifran (cedar forest) where you will stop to take beautiful pictures and take beautiful futures with you.
